Simon Bultynck was born in 1992 in Ghent, Belgium. He received a MA in Indian and Chinese Languages & Cultures (summa cum laude) and currently lives and works in Brussels and Ghent. Rooted in a profound captivation for language, much of his practice centres on the multiplex relationship between text and ideology, spoken and written word, authenticity and referentiality. His practice involves sculpture, installations, drawing and writing, and has more recently come to encompass photography and film.
